First time in weeks that I’ve written anything on the novel. It’s working title is Bonds and I’m actually on the thirty-third and final chapter. I’ve been saying that since early November though.

Instead of finishing Bonds I’ve been messing around with short story ideas and publishing an erotic short story. Even today when I could have been looking over the previous work on Bonds I decided to create this blog page.

However, the short stories are done, the page is created, the love life is on hold, Christmas is null and void, and I managed a few hundred words tonight with just a few hundred more to go before I reach ‘fin’.

Then it’ll be onto the gargantuan task of first edit. There’s a lot to be done with that. Tense, perspective, and fact checking being the main culprits on the first pass. Then it’ll be tart it up, give it some flourishes and act like a creative genius on the second edit before catching all the typos and grammatical errors that remain on edits three and four.

I’m hoping it’s all ready for others eyes by the time the Easter bunny arrives.
